Darveys.com - India's largest platform to buy authentic luxury brands wins a landmark judgment in Delhi High Court. As per the judgement, Darveys has been granted to sell Christian Louboutin through its portal by providing warranties of all the items sold by them (which has always been the case).
This is a celebratory moment for Darveys.com as the judgment came in light on the basis that Darveys has always been committed to selling only genuine items.
Within two months of Darveys' inception in 2014, the luxury portal had received a lawsuit from the luxury brand Christian Louboutin where they got a blanket stay from the High Court as per which Darveys was ordered to discontinue selling Louboutin on the portal. However, this was without even hearing Darveys stand about the same situation.
Back in 2014, the concept of buying genuine luxury brands online was not prevalent and this case was an important one for Darveys, not just to safeguard and clear the position of the portal but of every other company which would be involved in selling genuine branded goods. At no point Darveys, a members' only portal comprising 100,000 registered members was ever accused of selling any fake items on the portal.

Darveys.com is India's largest platform to buy authentic luxury brands at upto 60% off with currently 20,000+ items live on the website from 125+ luxury brands by 800+ authorised boutiques/stores. Their software finds the stores which are selling a particular item across the globe at the lowest price available and facilitates the sale for that item from the authorised store of the brand selling the item at the lowest price possible.
For example, if one wants to buy a Jimmy Choo Clutch, the software will search that out of 800 stores that Darveys works and will discover the store selling the particular item at the lowest price basis of the foreign exchange and the discount being offered by that particular boutique/store and thereby showcase the price of that item to customers and facilitate the sale.
Owing to the scale which Darveys garnered a year and half ago, they have made amendments to the business model where they continue to work with 800+ boutiques/stores and use the same authentication processes but now all items are imported by the boutiques and then shipped to the end customer from within India. This allows them to comply with the GST laws of the country and gives them greater control over each item delivered to the customers.
