Hollywood stars are continuing to show their support for the ousted 'Guardians of the Galaxy' director James Gunn, and Dave Bautista just upped the ante by threatening to leave the franchise.
He undertook this drastic decision after he wanted Marvel studios to accept the script written by James Gunn (writer and director for the franchise) for the superhero franchise.
For the unversed, James Gunn was fired from the franchise after his old tweets joking about paedophilia and rape resurfaced.
According to the US Weekly, Bautista, while speaking to a UK-based magazine, said that if the script written by Gunn was not used, the-wrestler-turned-actor would suggest the production house to remove him from the franchise.
Bautista on Monday tweeted, "I will do what Im legally obligated to do but @Guardians without @JamesGunn is not what I signed up for. GOTG w/o @JamesGunn just isn't GOTG. Its also pretty nauseating to work for someone who'd empower a smear campaign by fascists #cybernazis . That's just how I feel"
A month ago, actress Selma Blair had quit Twitter in support of the director, and urged Disney to reinstate Gunn, who, according to her, was "one of the good ones".
The cast from the franchise, which includes Chris Pratt, Bradley Cooper, and Zoe Saldana, also signed an open letter in support of Gunn.
