It seems like the DC supervillain Deathstroke is making his way to the big screen.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gareth Evans, previously known for directing action flick 'The Raid' , is in early negotiations to write and direct a solo film based on the assassin.
No deals have been completed with Evans or Joe Manganiello, who is attached to star as the deadly assassin.
Manganiello was originally cast in the role to serve as the antagonist in Ben Affleck's 'The Batman'. But once Affleck stepped down as director, Matt Reeves came in and decided to no longer use the previous script.
Deathstroke was introduced in the comics in 1980 in 'New Teen Titans No. 2'. The character, whose real name is Slade Wilson, is an expert assassin with super strength and stamina.
Evans is best known for writing and directing 'The Raid' and 'The Raid 2'.
