Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Swati Maliwal on Wednesday said she has not yet received any official communication regarding the cancellation of her appointment as the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief, adding that she will abide by any order she receives.
"I have no official communication from any quarter on this, in case I get an official communication I will abide by it," Maliwal told ANI.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung earlier in the day cancelled the appointment of Maliwal as the chief of the DCW.
Maliwal, who is an RTI activist and also the youngest member of India Against Corruption, took charge as the DCW chief two days ago, succeeding Barkha Shukla.
Kejriwal drew sharp criticism from the Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for appointing Maliwal, who is the wife of AAP leader Naveen Jaihind, as the DCW chief.
