After the Supreme Court stayed the Delhi Development Authority (DDA)'s move to make changes in Master Plan of Delhi 2021, the agency on Tuesday said they would file an affidavit, addressing court's concerns regarding the amendments in the plan.
The DDA had decided to make amendments in MPD to grant relief to traders from the sealing drive.
Recently, the land owning agency had approved a uniform floor-area ratio (FAR) of 350 for shop-cum-residential plots, use of basements to run businesses and rationalisation of conversion charges.
The apex court on Tuesday rapped the agency and the Centre for approving the changes without taking their environmental impact into consideration.
The developments come after the sealing drive of the commercial establishments flouting provisions of the Master Plan began on January 7 in Khan Market on the orders of the Supreme Court-appointed monitoring committee.
