South Africa cricket team captain AB De Villiers has confidently claimed that they have got the right players to win the World Cup, and insisted that it is just now a matter of going there and finding a way to do so.

There has been nothing spluttering about South Africa's build-up as they head to the Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in confident mood.

Although the South Africans have found novel ways of exiting previous tournaments, from miss-reading the Duckworth/Lewis permutations to disastrous run-outs and spectacular batting collapses, the retirement of stalwarts such as Graeme Smith, Jacques Kallis and Mark Boucher means that they now boast a squad of players no longer carrying that baggage, Sport24 reported.

De Villiers, who smashed the fastest ODI ton off just 31 balls against West Indies in January, said that they have got the right players to win the World Cup, adding that it's just now a matter of going there and finding a way to do so.

The skipper said that that's always the difficult part, but added that they are prepared to put in the hard yards, insisting that they are going there to bring the cup back.

For all the optimism, De Villiers does admit that the weight of expectation is an element to be reckoned with. He said that they do feel pressure representing South Africa in the World Cup, as they haven't won one yet.

The skipper insisted that they desperately want to win one, adding that they have been playing some good cricket and they are confident going to Australia that they have a really good chance to win this World Cup.
