South Africa cricket team captain AB De Villiers has warned that Zimbabwe could upsets in the 2015 Cricket World Cup, after his side beat their African rivals in a nervous start to the tournament on Sunday.

Thanks to a brilliant career best 138 not out by David Miller and JP Duminy's unbeaten 115 that helped South Africa put up a commanding total of 339 for four before they restricted Zimbabwe to 277 all out in a 62-run win at Hamilton's Seddon Park.

Miller and Duminy lifted South Africa from a nervous 83 for four during a new ODI record stand for the fifth wicket of 256, Sport24 reported.

De Villiers, who is bidding for a maiden World Cup title, claimed that he was very happy at the performance, insisting that his side had a really good game.

However, the skipper warned that Zimbabwe could upset one of the more fancied sides before the end of the tournament.

De Villiers claimed that Zimbabwe played some excellent cricket and he would not be surprised if they upset a couple of teams in this World Cup.

De Villiers claimed that Zimbabwe had made the most of winning the toss. He said that there is no doubt that played a good part in getting them ahead early on as it was a really difficult wicket to bat on in the first 15 to 20 overs.
