Urban Development Minister M.Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday said that this was the first meeting of BJP MPs after they were elected to parliament, and added that they discussed and dealt with a lot of issues during the orientation.
"This is not a hidden event. This workshop-cum-training has been conducted for the first time since BJP workers were elected in the Parliament. We dealt with a lot of issues," said Naidu.
"170 MP's were present in the workshop and the idea is to keep them together. Tomorrow, L K Advani will be conducting the orientation," he added.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi instructed the MPs attending an orientation camp in Surajkund, Haryana, to follow parliamentary procedures and ethics properly, focus on their work, and spend more time in their respective constituencies.
He also asked them to chart a blueprint for development in their respective constituencies and share it with government.
In addition to that, the Prime Minister also asked all MPs to prepare a road map for their work for next six months.
The two-day orientation camp for BJP MPs' commenced today, at a hotel in Surajkund. Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh addressed them at the start of the programme.
