The deep depression over central Bay of Bengal that remained practically stationary during past twelve hours and lay centered at about 560 km southeast of Visakhapatnam, is likely to intensify in next two days.
"As the intensity is increasing, rainfall could occur at many places over districts of north Andhra Pradesh, on November 8 and 9," said an official of Cyclone Warning Centre (CWC) at Visakhapatnam.
He also said that the sea condition will remain tough for next two days.
"Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea and those who have already left are requested to come back at the earliest," he added.
It will move northwestwards and may intensify further into a cyclonic storm in the next 12 hours.
The system is likely to move in a west-northwestward direction towards Andhra Pradesh coast and weaken gradually into a depression before crossing the coast on Sunday.
