Delhi CM Kejriwal down with fever, diarrhoea; will work from home

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday fall sick and expressed his unhappiness over not being able to attend the office.

"Running 102 fever since yesterday. Severe loose motions. Sad that i won't be able to attend office today," Kejriwal tweeted.

"It was so imp to attend office today. We had planned the water announcement. God, bahut galat time par bimaar kiya," he further tweeted.

Kejriwal, who has retained key portfolios in the Delhi government, has promised to provide 700 litres of free water to every Delhi household and an executive order to effect that was expected today.

He had earlier said the government will decide on his party's promise to supply of 700 litres of free water to each household and cutting down electricity charges by early next week.

 

Kejriwal also sought ten days time to formulate a system to address grievances and problems of the people in Delhi.

He said that he needed time of a week or ten days to settle down first and then they would be able to prove their mettle.

He further said that he would accept the applications of the people visiting him only after a system is in place.

"I don't want to give you false assurances. I will take the application when we put a system in place to resolve the problems," he added.
