A Delhi court on Tuesday dismissed the applications of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, including that by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in connection with the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) criminal defamation case.
The pleas had sought certain documents and information in connection with the alleged financial irregularities in DDCA.
Earlier, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had filed a criminal defamation case against Kejriwal and five other AAP leaders, including Ashutosh, Kumar Vishwas, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chaddha and Deepak Bajpai for allegedly issuing false and defamatory statements against him and his family in connection with alleged financial irregularities in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) while he was its president between 2000 and 2013.
In his complaint, Jaitley accused Kejriwal and others of defamation and sought Rs 10 crore as damages.
