The Delhi government on Sunday directed all automobile dealers across the national capital to set up pollution checking centres at their workshops, in a bid to keep a check on the vehicular emission in the city.
According to reports, the Aam Aadmi Party government in the city has ordered all car and motorbike dealers to set up pollution measuring facilities on their premises so that they can issue Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates.
The National Green Tribunal had earlier given the Delhi authorities two more weeks to implement its ban on diesel-run vehicles which are older than ten years. The NGT has put its order on hold till May 18.
