A delegation of around 100 doctors representing various organizations and hospitals of Delhi, met the health minister Mr SatyendraJain. The agenda for the meeting was misconception and fear amongst the medical community regarding the Clinical Establishment Act.
The health minister discussed various issues regarding different provisions of the Act. He said the Act -by whatever name and in form it finally emerges- would be fair, justifiable and practical. He said there is no need for fear among the medical community. Single doctor clinics and small nursing homes will not be burdened with any impractical and unfair clauses in the legislation.
