The Delhi High Court on Thursday ordered the Centre to fix the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) and ceiling price of cardiac stents by March 1, 2017.
The order was passed by the court while hearing a public interest litigation filed by Birender Sanghwan in the high court alleging exorbitant and arbitrary pricing tactics by drug manufacturing companies.
The PIL filed by Sanghwan questioned why drug manufacturing companies did not show a maximum retail price along with a ceiling price for all stents.
