The Delhi High Court has dismissed a plea seeking directions to the Election Commission of India to cancel the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party's registration for allegedly using forged documents.
The court's decision came on a plea, alleging that the AAP's registration was allowed in a swift manner on the basis of false and fabricated documents without making any proper inquiry.
The plea had claimed there were discrepancies in residential addresses given by some members of AAP in their affidavits when compared to the addresses given in their voter identity cards or income tax returns.
