The Delhi High Court today rejected petitions of the Dilli Athithi Shikshak Sangh, filed on behalf of 17,000 guest teachers for them to regularised against sanctioned available posts.
The court held that the petitions are not maintainable and the case was adjourned to August 2017 for further hearing.
Justice Sunil Gour pulled up the Delhi Government for not filing a status report as directed by the court in an earlier order.
However, the court granted the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) and the Delhi Government a week's time to file the status report on the filling up of over 33000 vacancies of teaching staff in the Delhi Government and three Municipal Corporations of Delhi (MCD).
