The Delhi High Court is likely to hear on December 30 the petition filed by Public School Association against an order by the AAP Government to provide school buses for public transport during the implementation of the Odd-Even formula.

The Public School Association moved the High Court against the order of the Directorate of Education, Delhi, for allegedly threatening them to provide school buses for public transport during the 15-day trial of the Odd-Even formula in the national capital.

The Directorate had in its order issued on December 21 asked the schools for registration of their buses.

The government had asked the private schools in the national capital to register their buses with Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) to enable their hiring for use as public transport during the 15-day trial for the Odd-Even scheme beginning on January 1.

The schools, which do not have insurance/fitness certificate of any particular bus, have also been asked to get the needful done by then.

The Delhi Government had last week ordered shutting down of all government, aided and un-aided/recognised private schools in Delhi from January 1-15 to enable procurement of the services of school buses for requirement of DTC at notified rates.
