Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Najeeb has said many areas in the capital could undergo planned blackouts for another three to four days.
The comments from Najeeb came as Delhi is facing massive load shedding ranging for two to three hours everyday.
The Lieutenant Governor said that people in the capital could face planned load-shedding ranging from 45 minutes to an hour for another three to four days due to the failure to provide the required number of megawatt electricity, which stood at 6000 megawatt.
He said that repairing the big towers and lines that had fallen after the massive storm would take time. He added that authorities were however trying to restore the electricity with emergency equipment, which would take time.
The Lt. Governor also said that all efforts were being made to restore power, which was the need of the hour due to hot weather.
