Delhi metro services to begin from 4 am on MCD polling day

The Delhi Metro train services will begin from 4 a.m. on April 23 in view of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) polls.

The facility has been given so that the staff deployed in election duty can avail it.

The trains will run with a frequency of 30 minutes on all the lines till 6 a.m.

After 6 a.m., the metro trains will run as per the normal timetable throughout the day on all lines.

The Election Commission (EC) in order to raise awareness among the voters had come up with innovative advertisements displayed inside and outside metro premises.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) covers the length and breadth of the national capital with various corridors categorised under lines - Yellow, Blue, Violet, Red, Green and Orange.

 

Over 11 lakh voters will be exercising their right to vote in the MCD polls.
