A red alert has been sounded in Delhi over intelligence inputs of a possible terror strike after multiple attacks by militants rocked Jammu and Kashmir yesterday.
The capital has been put under tight security with Police's Special Weapons and Tactics, SWAT and HIT teams deployed at important installations like airports, railway stations, bus terminals, Metro stations and malls.
Places like India Gate and Red Fort also witnessed enhanced security, while PCR vans were deployed at strategic locations.
The Special Cell of Delhi Police and its intelligence wing have also kept tabs on any movements of suspected elements throughout the day.
Jammu and Kashmir, which is in the midst of its five-phase state assembly elections, yesterday faced four terror attacks, which were aimed at undermining the democratic process.
