"All necessary arrangements from India Gate to Vijay Chowk have been ensured. The arrangements pertaining to local police security personnel and traffic will be there," Bassi told the media here.
"Our efforts will be to see that those people who will be coming here to participate are not inconvenienced," he added.
The Police Commissioner further said that traffic will be normal to make sure that those participating in the event do not face any problems.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the 'Run for Unity' programme tomorrow on the occasion of birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.
Several programmes have been lined up to mark the event to be observed by ministries and departments of the Government of India and all the state governments and administrators of all the Union Territories.
President Pranab Mukherjee will also flag off the 'Run for Unity' at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan at 8.15 am tomorrow to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The residents and staff of Rashtrapati Bhavan, the President's Body Guard, the Army Guard and the Delhi Police will participate in the run.
