Additional Commissioner of Police S B S Tyagi said Friday that Delhi Police has requested the Delhi Metro authorities to shut down three metro stations to stop UPSC protesters from proceeding towards parliament.

Tyagi said, "We are stopping protestors who want to go towards Parliament at the Rail Bhawan only. Roughly 100 protestors have been detained."

"We have also requested to shut down three metro stations, Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan and Krishi Bhawan.

"We had intimation that the protesting students can approach this area today," he added.

Students have been protesting against the exam saying that the questions asked in language comprehension skills are asked in English and no Hindi translations are provided. They want this to be changed.

The UGC issued admit cards yesterday which further fueled the candidates already protesting against changes made in the examination pattern.
