Delhi Police on Tuesday met Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal with regard to the Tilak Nagar eve-teasing incident and assured her about the safety and security of women in the national capital.
"Swati Maliwal had come .We have discussed a number of issues which will further enhance the safety and security of women in Delhi, and I have assured that Delhi Police will give its utmost cooperation to the Delhi Commission of Women so that it can function effectively to strengthen safety and security of women in Delhi.," Delhi Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi told ANI.
DCW chief Swati Maliwal also said that Delhi Police will complete the investigation to settle the accusations on the Tilak Nagar eve-teasing incident.
In a of case of sexual harassment a girl, Jasleen Kaur, has alleged that a boy heckled her and also passed lewd comments on her on Sunday. The police had lodged a complaint against the accused after the victim shared his snap and details about eve-teasing on a Facebook post. Jasleen was given a reward of Rs. 5000 for her bravery.
