Congress President Sonia Gandhi has called for a meeting of her party leaders this evening at her 10 Janpath residence to assess the political situation in Delhi, a day before the capital city goes to polls.
Earlier in the day, former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit expressed hope that the Congress, which has already shown its work in the last 15 years, would not be ignored by the people of Delhi.
The Congress goes head-to-head with the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Aam Aadmi Party in the Delhi Assembly polls tomorrow, where a total of 673 candidates are in the fray.
In the 2013 Delhi assembly polls, the 15-year rule of Congress came to an end after the AAP bagged 28 seats and Congress with mere 8 seats. The election results gave a hung assembly wherein no single party evolved a clear majority.
The results will be declared on February 10.
