Tarvellers are paying as high as 3,125 pounds for a 19-day trip to explore the highly-secretive North Korea.

The travelers can visit capital Pyongyang's landmarks, such as Kim Il-sung Square, and the demilitarised zone on the South Korea border.

According to the Daily Star, but their every move is controlled by a North Korean guide who dictates what they can do and see, and who they can meet.

The number of Britons visiting North Korea has doubled since 2011 when Kim Jong-un came to power after his father's death.

That year the state's recommended UK booking agent, Regent Holidays, led just seven group trips to the country. This year it has scheduled 14, the report added.
