Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain on Sunday said the government has directed all the hospitals in the city not to deny admission to any patient.

Jain's remark came after a seven-year-old boy died of dengue on September 8 when two hospitals refused to admit him.

"All hospital have been directed not to deny admission to any patient and make appropriate arrangements...We discussed about the steps which need to be taken to prevent spread of dengue in Delhi," Jain told ANI here.

The Delhi Government has issued notices to two private hospitals after the parents of a seven-year-old boy, who died of dengue on Tuesday, committed suicide as they failed to get him admitted to a hospital in time.

The couple's son died after allegedly being denied admission at two prominent private hospitals.
