As per a new research, a staggering one in 10 of Brits has viewed porn at work, despite typically being fully aware of the risks to their companies.

With UK ranking higher than the global average in terms of watching mucky material in work time, only 5 percent in France and 2 percent in Germany admitted viewing porno under the noses of their employers.

Vanson Bourne's survey found that one in three people asked in the UK used new apps without IT's permission, two out of five use social media sites for personal reasons and one out of five open e-mail attachments from unverified senders.

Experts fear companies are left open to cyber security risks by workers accessing mucky pics and videos.

Robert Arandjelovic, director of products for Blue Coat Systems, said that whilst the majority of employees are aware of cyber security risks, in practice most still take chances, adding that the consumerisation of IT and social media carry mixed blessings to enterprises.

He added that it is no longer realistic to prevent employees from using them, so businesses need to find way sot support these technology choices while simultaneously mitigating the security risks.
