West Indies captain Denesh Ramdin admitted that they are determined enough to showcase their fight against the number one Test side South Africa despite the absence of Chris Gayle and Darren Bravo.

Ramdin believes that they lacked the fight and determination against South Africa during their previous tour to the country as they lost the series despite winning the opening test match. However, he further said that they would use that factor to motivate themselves.

Commenting on the absence of senior players, he said it is a blow for any team to lose players like Gayle and Darren, adding that young players could take the opportunity to do well for the team, Sport24 reported.

He further said that it would be a very tough series for them and players need to score big in order to keep the opposition at bay.

West Indies is scheduled to play three Tests, three Twenty20 matches and five one-day internationals against South Africa over the next two months.
