England vice-captain Joe Root, who smashed a century during his side's final tour game against South Africa A, believes that his side are capable to beat the world's number one Test team away from home.

Admitting that it would be a 'huge challenge' to play against South Africa in the upcoming tour, the 24-year-old prolific batsman urged his side to play extremely well in order to win the series, the Daily Express reported.

Root revealed that his side have worked extremely harder to face pace attacks, adding that he hopes his side would head into the series confidently.

Meanwhile, South Africa, which suffered a humiliating 0-3 defeat in the recently-concluded series against India, will now aim to bounce back when they will take on England in a four-match Test series, starting from December 26.
