Prime Minister Narendra Modi said here today that development is the solution to all problems and urged the people of Haryana to vote for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the state's development.

Expressing his concern over the skewed sex ratio in Haryana, he stressed on the need to ensure safety of women.

Prime Minister Modi underlined the need for the development of villages, and said: "We have launched a campaign called 'Make in India'. Under this, we have asked the companies around the world to invest in India, build factories here and employ the youth."

Commenting on skewed sex ratio of Haryana, Prime Minister Modi said, "In Haryana for every thousand males born there are only 875 girl child births. This is not god given, this is happening because we are committing a crime of killing the girl child before its birth."

"No party in the history of Haryana's politics has given more tickets to women than what BJP has done this time," he added while reaching out to the feminine gender.

The election for 90-member Haryana Assembly is scheduled to take place on October 15 while the counting of votes will be held on October 19.
