DGMO talks: India calls on Pak to end ceasefire violations

The Indian Army's Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lt. Gen AK Bhatt said that he had told his Pakistani counterpart to stop violating the cease-fire along the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border (IB).

Lt General AK Bhatt said, "Pakistani DGMO was informed about the spate of ceasefire violations which included caliber escalation coupled with incidents of sniping and attempted infiltration bids."

"Pakistani DGMO was exhorted to exercise strict control on his troops and instruct them to refrain from any nefarious activities," he added.

Lt. Gen Bhatt further claimed that Indian Army has been taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety of Indian citizens and their property, and to avoid targeting Pakistani citizens.
