Indian cricket skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been fined 75 percent of his match fees for allegedly elbowing debutant Bangladesh pacer Mustafizur Rahman during the first ODI of the three-match series in Mirpur on Thursday.
The 33-year-old captain was charged with Level 2 offence under ICC Code of Conduct for colliding with Mustafizur in the 25th over while trying to eke out a single during India's chase.
Meanwhile, Mustafizur, who was adjudged as the Player of the Match, was also fined 50 percent of his match fees, as he had earlier tried to come in Rohit Sharma's way when the opener was batting.
Bangladesh lead the three-match ODI series 1-0 after claiming a 79-run win over India at the Shera Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur yesterday.
