Manchester United's star winger Angel Di Maria has joked that Portugal football team captain Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentina football team skipper Lionel Messi should have their own Ballon d'Or award so that other players have a chance of winning the top honour.
The last seven awards have been won by the duo, with Di Maria's countryman Messi claiming four and former Real Madrid teammate, and current holder, Ronaldo bagging three.
Kaka was the last player to win the award outside of the big two when he claimed the Ballon d'Or after inspiring AC Milan to Champions League glory in 2007, The Mirror reported.
Di Maria, who is one of the only players in world football to have played with both players on a regular basis, claims that he never gets bored of comparing Ronaldo and Messi consistently.
Di Maria said that he doesn't tire of comparing them, because he always says the same thing that they're two completely different players.
