Hasnat Khan, Princess Diana's former boyfriend, has slammed the upcoming Naomi Watts starrer biopic, which is based on their romance, as a "complete lie".
Even though the producers of the film claimed that Khan, who was nicknamed Mr. Wonderful by Diana, gave the project a "tacit acceptance", the cardiothoracic surgeon alleged that he never gave any approval, the Mirror reported.
Khan believes that the movie is based on gossip and the information that was provided by Diana's friends and some of his relatives, who didn't know anything about their relationship.
Khan also revealed that when he saw online still pictures from the film, he could tell immediately that the movie had all their mannerisms wrong, like his hands folded behind the back, among other things.
He said that one could tell from the still picture that the movie is all just presumed about how they would behave with each other.
Khan added that there wasn't any hierarchy in their relationship as she was not a princess and he wasn't a doctor.
The flick is based on Kate Snell's 2001 book 'Diana: Her Last Love' and stars Naveen Andrews as Khan.
