Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Monday charged the Shivraj Singh Chauhan-led Madhya Pradesh Government of indulging in corruption to the tune of over Rs. 100 crores, and said the time has now come for a change.

"BJP doesn't want honest party members; today it wants middlemen, contractors and all those who can mint money. I demand that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan should get his assets and possessions verified because only then the people would know the extent of corruption," he said while addressing a rally here ahead of the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh.

"I challenge Shivraj Singh Chauhan to file a defamation case against us, and we will prove it in Court how much black money you have earned. There is corruption of more than 100 crore rupees in areas like health, education, road, food and many other areas, and we are ready to prove it. The time has come for a change," he added.

The assembly elections will be held in five states namely Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Delhi and Mizoram later this year.
