Ahead of the release of 'Soorma'- the biopic based on the hockey legend Sandeep Singh, actor Diljit Dosanjh, who is playing the titular role, will visit his hometown in Shahabad, Haryana.

Diljit, along with the movie's director Shaad Ali, will also be visiting the actual locations after they are done shooting the movie.

Post this, Diljit and Shaad will travel back on a train, as Sandeep did after he met with an accident.

The ace drag-flicker met with an accident 12 years ago, when he was accidentally shot at and was eventually admitted to Chandigarh's PGI Hospital.

'Soorma', thus depicts the story of this forgotten hero, who inspires every individual to shine even after facing numerous problems in his life.

Sandeep is regarded as the most dangerous drag-flickers of all time with drag speeds of over 145 km/hr. This led to him being nicknamed 'Flicker Singh'.

Produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangda Singh, and Deepak Singh, 'Soorma' is slated to release on July 13.
