Sri Lanka opening batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan is set to miss the upcoming limited-overs series against England and Ireland for personal reasons.
Dilshan has been the most-consistent batsman of the country over the last two years, having notched up a total of 1207 ODI runs at an average of 52.47 in 2015 itself.
However, Dilshan, who took retirement from Test cricket in late 2013, ruled out the chances of retirement from shorter formats of the game,ESPNcricinfo reported.
Kusal Perera, who is being cleared from doping charges, is likely to replace the 39-year-old at the top of the batting order.
The ODIs will commence from June 16, in Ireland, before Sri Lanka return to England to play five-match ODI series and one-off T20 international in the country, starting from June 21 at Trent Bridge.
