In a bid to capitalise on the 'DNA remark' controversy, Janata Dal (United) supporters on Tuesday sent their hair and nail samples to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of their 'Shabd Wapasi' campaign.

"We waited for the Prime Minister's 'Shabd Wapasi' in Gaya, but it didn't happen. This protest is for him to take his words back. We are sending him the samples, he is free to get them tested," said Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Meanwhile, JD (U) leader Pawan Verma said the Prime Minister's BIMARU remark was also an affront to the people of Bihar.

"The Prime Minister said that Bihar is BIMARU and people of Bihar are 'durbhagyashaali'. This is an insult to Biharis," said Verma.
