Manchester United football team manager Louis van Gaal believes losing points against teams like Aston Villa could hamper their hopes of claiming the Premier League title.

United's consecutive six winning streak came to an end as they could only manage a draw against 10 men Villa, thanks to a second-half equalizer from striker Radamel Falcao after Villa striker Christian Benteke gave his team an early lead.

A disappointed Van Gaal said that one had to win those games if one were in the contest for the title, adding that it was frustrating not to win those kinds of game as they were the better team and dropped two points, the BBC reported.

Despite dominating possession throughout the game, United were unable to turn it into a winner. Van Gaal further said that they kept the ball well in the first half but couldn't do anything with the ball as they were not creative and effective with the ball.
