Mumbai Indians' bowling unit put on a disciplined performance on Sunday as they bundled out Sunrisers Hyderabad for a paltry score of 113 in their must-win Indian Premier League (IPL) clash at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Opting to bat first, Sunrisers Hyderabad failed to get a good start as both openers David Warner (6) and Shikhar Dhawan (1) trudged back to the pavilion following their cheap dismissals off Mitchell McClenaghan and Lasith Malinga's deliveries.
Subsequently, Mumbai Indians flexed their bowling muscles to trigger Sunrisers' batting collapse as Lokesh Rahul (25) remained the top scorer for his team.
Karn Sharma and Ashish Reddy subsequently contributed 15 and 17 to their unimpressive total before their respective dismissals.
McClenaghan was the pick of the bowlers for Mumbai Indians as he scalped three wickets and was substantially supported by Malinga, who took two wickets.
While Jagadeesha Suchith claimed two wickets, Kieron Pollard and Harbhajhan Singh took one wicket each.
The winner of the tie will join Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers and Rajasthan Royals in the play-offs.
