Disney pushed it takings over one billion dollars at the US box office in record time due to the spectacular 91 million dollars opening of new Pixar animation flick 'Inside Out.'
Tabloid media revealed that the studio passed the mark in 174 days, with hits like 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' that earned 450 million USD and 'Cinderella' with 199 million USD contributing heavily, reported the Guardian.
Moreover, the company still has 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' in its bag to increase the total collection of 2015 and is also expecting a box-office bounce from the release of its second Marvel film.
Disney might be having a banner year, but it remains some way short of rival Universal, which passed one billion mark in a world-record time of just 165 days in June.
Also, the studio's total US box-office figures for 2015 have already reached 5.276 billion USD and it is being said that this amount could reach 11 billion USD by the end of the year.
