Disney purchases distribution rights of 'Indiana Jones'

Disney has purchased the distribution rights to the 'Indiana Jones' franchise from Paramount, which has sparked off rumors that it will make a come back.

The studio is reportedly looking for an opportunity to make future films from the series, which would star the iconic two-fisted archeologist made famous by Harrison Ford, the New York Daily News reported.

The franchise has earned 2 billion dollars worldwide at the box office till date.
