Disney has now planned to turn the animated flick 'Frozen' into a Broadway musical, after its huge success at the box office.

The film is based on Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale, 'The Snow Queen', and stars the voices of Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad, with Chris Buck directing.

According to Box Office Mojo, the Disney animation has now earned a domestic total of 317,319,106 dollars and a worldwide tally of 711,919,100 dollars.

The movie's soundtrack is the fourth animated musical to reach No.1 on the Billboard 200 album chart in its 56 year existence, following Disney's 'The Lion King' (1994) and 'Pocahontas' (1995), as well as Jack Johnson's 'Curious George' (2006).
