World number one Novak Djokovic has said that 2016 Rio Olympics will be one of his priority as he is looking forward to clinch a medal for his country.
Ahead of his opening match at Shanghai Masters, the 28-year-old insisted that he eagerly wants to be a member of the Olympic Serbian team, Sport24 reported.
The Serbian defending champion, however, admitted that Davis Cup also holds great importance to him as it's the lone official team competition existing in the sport.
Djokovik stressed it is quite obvious that players would choose Olympic Games over Davis Cup.
A 10-time Grand Slam-winner, who might miss the second round of the Davis Cup this season, has won Olympic bronze in 2008 at Beijing.
Earlier, Djokovic displayed a sparkling performance as he defeated third-seed Rafael Nadal 6-2, 6-2 to lift China Open title at Beijing.
