Novak Djokovic has reportedly proposed to move the Barclays ATP World Tours Finals from London after 2015 by citing the need to expose the tournament to more cities around the world.

The season-ending event has been played at the O2 since 2009. However, the world no. 1 player said that the venue for the annual showdown should be changed in order to promote the game across the globe. He added that he had "nothing against London" but the venue should be changed more often, reported The Mirror.

Many cities around Europe, South America, Asia, "would have a lot of success in having this event," he said.

China and the Gulf states are the likeliest alternative venues for the event which has been played at 16 different venues since 1970.
