Asserting that he did not want to turn the protest against the Land Ordinance Bill into political confrontation, veteran social activist Anna Hazare on Monday said Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas can come for the protest as a part of the general public.

"The BJP went for an ordinance on Land Acquisition which is not in favour of democracy. Our agitation is not against a person or a party. If the people from parties come on our stage then people would think that it is a 'party protest'. He (Kumar Vishwas) can come for the protest, but as a part of the public, not on the stage," said Hazare.

Earlier in the day, Vishwas met Hazare over the issue of Land Ordinance Bill.

However, the Aam Aadmi Party is still undecided over joining the protest against the bill.

Hazare will sit on a protest at Jantar Mantar later in the day against the ordinance on Land Acquisition Bill.

Earlier on Sunday, he had called for the Land Ordinance Bill to be taken back, adding that the government should instead look out for ways to improve the condition of the farmers.

A group of farmers, who began marching from Haryana's Palwal on Friday, will join Hazare at the venue tomorrow to demand withdrawal of amendments to the Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

Hazare had earlier lashed out at the BJP-led government for removing provisions which provided taking the farmers' consent before acquiring their land.
