Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that the Congress Party is trying to divide the society and asked the public of Karnataka, if they want a government of commission or a government of mission.
Speaking at a public rally here, the Prime Minister said, "If the current government continues in the state, the downfall is guaranteed. This is a national conspiracy as Congress is working to divide the society. There is a need for speedy governance. What do you need, a government which asks for 10 percent commission to work or a government which works with the mission for development?"
Prime Minister Modi is on a two-day visit to the poll-bound Karnataka, where he flagged off Palace Queen Humsafar Express train, which will run between Karnataka's Mysuru and Udaipur in Rajasthan.
The Prime Minister further said, "I would like to ask the Chief Minister of Karnataka that your party has ruled in the state and in Delhi after the freedom. Why are you silent now? Is it because you are not being able to keep your promises?"
He added that Congress has taken too much which was not expected.
"Post-independence your party had ruled for 70-80 percent of the time. You are demanding things and facilities today. If you really feel about those things why not you did something when you were in power for 50 years," Prime Minister Modi questioned Siddaramaiah-led government.
Elaborating the numerous projects to be launched in Mysuru, the Prime Minister said, "I have got the opportunity to inaugurate numerous projects in Mysuru. The railways network in Mysuru needs to be strengthened".

He added that the Palace Queen Humsafar Express train which connects Karnataka's Mysuru to Udaipur in Rajasthan is a historical step and would boost tourism.
"Bengaluru-Udaipur highway will be constructed at a 6-lane stretch with around Rs 6,500 crore investment in the project. If we have to fulfill the needs of the poorest of the poor then we need to strengthen our railway network. We are working towards this since last four years," Prime Minister Modi asserted.
He further said the Centre will commission 140-km fully-electrified Bengaluru-Mysuru rail track.
"We will also build a world-class satellite railway station where Rs 800 crore will be spent. It will be a multi-storey railway station where nearly 76 trains will come to Mysuru each day. With this project connectivity to Mysuru will become smoother," the Prime Minister stated.
Later, Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate newly carved 630 steps on Vindhyagiri hill.
Karnataka goes to polls in the first quarter of the year.
