Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have been given a reduced suspended sentence of 18 months in jail.
The fashion designers have received the sentence for a conviction on charges of using Luxembourg holding company Gado to avoid paying taxes on royalties of about 1.38 billion dollars, the Huffington Post reported.
The sentence was reduced from 20 months because the statute of limitations applied to certain facts in the case, however, a lawyer for the designer duo called the verdict "inexplicable" and added that they would appeal the decision.
