Australian business magnate Don Argus will reportedly file a new report containing his impressions on the state of Australian cricket two years after he delivered the Australian Team Performance Review.
This move comes after sacked coach Mickey Arthur suggested that the jobs of Cricket Australia (CA) chief executive James Sutherland, high-performance manager Pat Howard and captain Michael Clarke are on the line if Australia loses the winter Ashes 5-0.
According to News.com.au, the Argus report recommended radical changes to management structures, coaching and priorities in a bid to turn around a worrying decline in performances.
The report mentioned that the Argus review was clear on accountability within cricket, adding that the review also recommended the implementation of clear, quantifiable goals in Australian cricket as they are indicators of success.
When Argus presented his report it was headlined with the 'indisputable' decline in performance of the Test team, noting "Australia has only won five of its past eleven series, having lost to South Africa at home, India away and consecutive Ashes losses'.
However, Australian media reports have revealed earlier this month that the players are so concerned with the state of the game and its governance that they are compiling their own version of the Argus report.
