Dakota Johnson's dad, Don Johnson, is appalled by daughter's raunchy role in the upcoming erotic film 'Fifty Shades of Grey' and has vowed to boycott her debut, it has been revealed.

Johnson, best known for his hit 1980s TV police series 'Miami Vice' has publicly slammed her over the film's torrid nude scenes, saying that it's just not the kind of movie he would see, the Daily Express reported.

However the actress' mother has hit back by declaring she "fully supports" her daughter's decision to take the part, adding that it was a scary role for her to tackle and she needs to feel her family is there for her.

According to sources, the 24-year-old's mother, Melanie Griffith, is bitterly upset that she is the only one standing alongside her daughter and has told both her mother and former husband that her daughter really can't look at roles and wonder what her dad and grandma are going to think.

Insiders added that Griffith believes that Dakota was right to seize her opportunity in what will almost certainly become a major international blockbuster.
